What Does God Have To Do With Money?

The Bible has a lot to say about money and how we should approach it. As Christians, we are called to be good stewards of the resources God has entrusted to us. This means using our money in a way that honors God and helps further His kingdom.

Scripture is clear that God desires for His people to be financially fruitful and prosperous. In 3 John 1:2, the apostle writes, "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers." God's heart is for His children to experience growth and abundance, not lack and scarcity.

However, this prosperity is not for our own selfish gain, but rather to be used as a tool to advance the gospel and bless others. When we align our finances with God's purposes, we open ourselves up to His favor and provision in ways we could never achieve on our own. By putting God first in how we earn, save, and spend, we position ourselves to be fruitful and multiply the resources he has given us.

The key is maintaining an eternal perspective. While material wealth is not inherently sinful, we must be careful that it does not become an idol that replaces our love and devotion to Christ. When we seek God's kingdom above all else, He promises to provide for our every need.
